Free will is an illusion (our choices are predetermined)

When you make decisions in your life, your choices are likely predetermined based on certain factors. These include the knowledge you possess, experiences you've had, your current socioeconomic and natural environments, and the opinions or beliefs you form based on those factors. Then also how effectively you process this information depends on your genetics, which determines a large part of your intelligence and creativity, as well as other facets of your personality. Humans are not that different from other animals such as dogs. For example most people know that in general pitbulls are more aggressive than golden retrievers. Likewise people have different personality traits based on the genes they inherit from their parents, and how those parents raise their children. Even artificial intelligence can detect criminals based on their facial features with surprisingly high accuracy. So I would say that free will is an illusion. Our choices are determined before we make them based o

Christians should be antinatalists

It says in the Bible that humans should be fruitful and multiply, but is that really the right choice? This depends on which Christian denomination a person follows and which one, if any, is correct. If it's universalism or free grace theology, then having children is a more reasonable proposition, as the risk of children ending up in eternal hellfire is reduced or non-existant. But with most other denominations there is a risk that the child even if they believe in Jesus, doesn't endure to the end and maintains their faith. It's easy for them to fall away from the faith, especially in this modern world with science, entertainment and hedonism all around us. So moral Christians who love their unborn children should really be antinatalists, they should aim to be like Paul who didn't have a wife or children. Because if you bring a child into the world against their will and they don't endure to the end in the faith, they could be tortured for eternity, which is a real

Religion was invented by man

I think religion was invented by man for at least three reasons, but there may be more. First it was to provide us with answers to phenomenons that were at the time unexplainable. For example if there was thunder and lightning, that may have been a sign that Thor was angry or that some other thunder god clapped. But now we know based on science that thunder and lightning are just natural weather phenomenons that can be rationally explained. There are still these types of questions and religious people will answer that God is the answer, while the truth may be something different and we just don't know the answer at this point. Another reason why religion might have been important from an evolutionary perspective is to help humans cope with the vanity and suffering of life. Life is mostly suffering with drops of fleeting pleasure here and there. But some religions provide hope for a future beyond this life in the afterlife where they get to meet their loved ones again and live in bl
